Golden Globes 2013 - Tops & Flops

Hey guys,

Who stayed awake last night to watch the Golden Globes? Well I did like I do every year with Golden Globes, Super Bowl & Oscars. Here is a little evaluation from my side what was top and was rather flop.

Flop

Katherine Mc Phee
That dress is pretty but wait didn't you have enough time to style your hair? That's a nicht-nicht Katherine!

Eva Longoria
Sorry Eva but that Pucci dress just revealed a little bit too much leg.  It would be okay to choose that for the premiere of your newest film, but it's simply a "nicht-nicht" for an award show !

Amanda Seyfried
Amanda darling you know I love you, but that nude colored dress just made you drown in the crowd. A rather pale type like you should go for the colors ;)

        Kaley Cuoco
Oh Kaley :( the dress is okay, however that make up? Looks a bit old school and does the same like Amanda's outfit, drowns you in the crowd. I mean she's got beautiful eyes and you can't even realize them with such a pale makeup!

      Jessica Chastain
Jessica's outfit made me believe she did not expect her to win for "Best actress in a motion picture - drama". When I saw this I feared a next nipplegate affair for the rest of the evening - too blousy, that's a "nicht-nicht"!

Leonardo Di Caprio

No Globe (Django Unchained) again. Poor Leo, the academies hate you, I guess :( You looked fine though!

"Best Foreign Film" for "Amour. Nothing against the film, great film but personally I wanted "Intouchables" to win it. The film isn't even nominated for the Oscars 2013, what a shame..
"Best Animated Film" for "Brave". I was rooting for "Wreck-it ralph". Since "Tangled" the best Disney production in my opinion, I'm still hoping for the Oscars.
TOP

     Anne Hathaway

I liked everything about Anne last night. Her dress beautifully underlines her figure. I love long hair, however this cutie can almost do everything with her hair. Also refreshing was her attitude when she received her Globe for "Best Supporting Actress" for Les Misérables

                                                                              Naomi Watts
Now THAT's a statement Naomi! Without showing all too much it's still a sexy dress and I love the color red on a beautiful actress like Naomi, my favorite last night!

                                                                                Nicole Ritchie
Nicole's been in the past always good for a fashion fauxpas. This time she did everything right: cut & color of this dress fits perfect on her, nice make up as well..

                                                                              Marion Cotillard
beautiful red dress, incredible actress. Marion is a dark horse for great red carpet appearances. I think I never saw her fail an outfit when it matters!

Johnny Galecki & Kunal Nayyar / The Big Bang Theory Cast

Without a doubt, the boys of the BBT made a statement yesterday. Both Johnny & Kunal with great outfits...if only Kaley would have joined in on that and Jim Parsons with a win for Sheldon in his category..that would have made their day.

Quentin Tarantino winning "Best Screenplay" for "Django Unchained"

If you're a fan of Quentin Tarantino you know that his style of films are often ignored by the academies. Therefore you can realize that when he yesterday said: "wow this is a surprise to me!", he actually meant it. Made me happy to see a great director finally being recognized..

Jennifer Lawrence winning "Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Comedy/Musical" for " Silver Linings Playbook"

Okay..I do admit I'm a fanboy of her ^^ However I was fistpumping when I heard her being called out. I would have given Bradley the Globe in his category as well but I felt at least a little pleased to have Jlaw receive her well-deserved one.

Adele winning "Best Original Song" for "Skyfall"

That was a 100% sure thing to me. Adele is such an outstanding singer and I believe her theme of "Skyfall" was one of the best Bond themes for a long time. Her attitude while receiving the award was as refreshing as her little high five with Daniel Craig when her name was called out.

What can I say? I'm looking forward to the 24th of February (Oscars 2013)

XO, Dré
