Oscars 2013 - Highlights of the Show

Hey guys,

What can I say? A really epic Oscar night if not the best of all at least to me.
I have to admit that I fell asleep just before the award for the best motion picture was presented,
however up to that point still so many highlights, which I could notice.

Team Steven

You got to give Steven a lot of credit, not only because he's in the middle of Lena and Annemarie, but
also for his incredible job of on getting American celebrities to speak to German television, therefore
my first props go to the team of Steven, Lena & Annemarie.

Jamie Foxx & his daughter

Jamie Foxx, that man does not only know how to dress he also knows how to make a good Red Carpet appearance. Why wouldn't you take your daughter with you on the Red Carpet if she is that beautiful?

Anne Hathaway

How can you not love Anne? After being asked about her dress she told a little story about her
and her mother discussing the dress, I quote: "like my mom would say business in the front,
party in the back". Enough said (:

Zoe Saldana

Kevin Mazur, Steve Granitz/WireImages

One of my favorites: Zoe Saldana in Alexis Mabille Couture.
The dress had everything and maybe a little bit too much: belt, ribbon and frills everywhere,
but nevertheless it was the perfect choice for Zoe

Halle Berry

Steve Granitz/WireImages

I believe that's a typical Halle Berry Outfit only she can wear. It's so tight and slim-fit that only
a petite woman like her is able to make it look good, and that's what she did!

Seth Mc Farlane as the host

I knew this was the best choice the academy could make. Seth brought a young, refreshing
spirit to the show. Although sometimes going a little bit too far with his jokes, what he always
realized and immediately tried to straighten, he still was the best and most entertaining show presenter for the last decade, at least to me. I loved the "boobs - song" and the reaction of Jlaw
to Seth's statement that we didn't saw Jennifer Lawrence's boobs at all compared to many other
famous actresses.

 Christoph Waltz

Christoph Waltz received his 2nd Oscar for his "Dr. King Schultz" in "Django - Unchained".
A totally deserved one considering the fact that he carries an epic movie for like the first
90 minutes completely on his own.

The Les Misérables cast singing live

After this stunning performance I wanna see the movie even more, I love musicals!

Jennifer Lawrence

Of course that was a highlight to me since I'm a big fan of her, however the stories everyone will be talking about for years will rather be..

Jennifer Lawrence falling while running to stage to receive the award

To be honest, you gotta like her 10 times more after this (:
"You guys are standing up cause you feel bad that I fell and this is embarassing but thank you! This is nuts!"

even more hilarious her backstage interview..

"This is like an auction, right? You guys gonna take it away!" (:
"I'm sorry I did a shot!" (:
"The fall? Was that on purpose? ABSOLUTELY!"

Adele singing live & winning Oscar

I have to admit the most touching moment to me was when Adele received her award and tried
to give a speech but couldn't fight against her tears of joy. She now won every important award
a singer can win in his/her life and nobody deserves it more than her.
I hope that her voice withstands the troubles of her diseases she had in the past months so that I'm
able to see her live on stage eventually.

Best Motion Picture - Argo / Michelle Obama & Ben Affleck

Michelle Obama announcing this year's Best Motion Picture

I haven't found a good video of the first part of Ben's speech, because this is when he is talking
sooo fast trying to be able to thank everyone before the wrap up making him sound funny but
likeable. 1997 he received an Oscar, since then he had a rough time, which he addresses to
in his "you gotta get up" - speech.

To me the Best Oscars show I have ever watched!

XO, Dré
